New Delhi, 8 May. “Justice for Nirupama” campaign has demanded high level CBI inquiry into Nirupama murder case. It said that local police is messing and derailing the whole investigation. The campaign has appealed the Jharkhand Government to ensure fair investigation with high level supervision.
The Campaign is highly surprised, shocked and pained to see the frivolous charges leveled against Priyabhanshu by the family members of Nirupama. The initial investigation has already established that her family members are habitual liars as they are changing their statement from the beginning.
The campaign believed that this is a ploy to divert the attention of investigation and confuse the police and public. Unfortunately it seems that police is also playing in the hand of conspirators and murderers.
The Campaign has said that autopsy report of Nirupama has confirmed the murder and not suicide. The police have filed FIR against her mother and two-three others.
The campaign today organized a Candle light vigil at Jantar Mantar in which hundreds of batchmates, colleagues, students, teachers, journalists, representatives of women organizations, students, human rights organizations participated.
